"We wanted to go outside and play and be free and see what happens," Anthony Kiedis says.

Kiedis says the previous shoot was "indoors and dark and dank."

"I don't think the concept has really changed that much," Flea says.

MTV News goes behind the scenes of the Chili Peppers' latest creation.

"We all just want to be supportive of each other," Flea says.

"The second rock show I ever saw was here," Flea says.

"It's very dynamic so we really have to focus on letting each song exist unto itself with all of its beauty," Anthony ...

"I just came differently on this record than I did in the past," Flea says.

"It was a really sort of family feeling around the studio," Klinghoffer says.

"We use Vaseline. A simple coating of Vaseline keeps our faces from melting," Kiedis says.

"We would literally hide behind the wall and these people had no idea we were going to join them," Kiedis says.

"It's a fun thing to think about," Kiedis says.

Flea says it's all about "being yourself" and "believing in that love."
